We may think that if we could just find the right partner or job, or if our kids would get their act together, that everything else would be okay, that WE would be okay. But it’s when we realize that we are already okay … that we know everything else is also okay.
We can blame somebody else. We can order a piece of exercise equipment or book a cruise. But those only bandaid our fear of falling short.
We have to look within at the intangible to feel our real worth and know that we are enough. And when we know that, we also know that we are not at the mercy of anybody or anything else. We create our own satisfaction … and we don’t measure it based on society’s standards or somebody else’s values.
