The freedom to be you is inherent. But to feel it, we have to exercise it. That can be challenging, because in the pursuit of happiness from things that can’t provide happiness, we lose sight of our authentic self. Don’t worry about it. Sit with yourself in a place you feel at home (the edge of the water, the woods, a mountaintop). Connect with you. And take one step to act on what you feel. In acting on who you are, you begin to feel like you again … and you take another step. And as you gain trust, you find it more liberating, more gratifying, and absolutely enough.
