As tough as it is to find somebody else to love us the way we long to be loved, we often insist on looking … and looking, and looking. We may exhaust our efforts before ever realizing that we won’t, we can’t, find somebody else to love us through every crack and crevice, down to the core, until we love ourself that way.
We can’t really share what we haven’t faced within ourself. And we certainly can’t share what we’re still hiding for fear of rejection.
Here’s the thing, when we find the courage to face what seems painful or shameful, we shine a healing light on it. We find sweetness in the pain. We even find our greatness in it.
We discover how lovable we are. Then, we share all of who we are with enthusiasm.
We sparkle. We love others the way we love ourself. And voila!
