This guy came to hear me speak in Gainesville, Florida. Later, he came to a Saturday workshop in my home at the beach. For six months, mostly by chance, we met at sunrise and walked on the beach. Some mornings, we shared blueberry pancakes and sausage.
Six months into our friendship, on Christmas Eve, we kissed. Six months later, on June 24 of 2008, a dear friend married us.
Today–on the same beach, in the same cafe, and with a longer walk–we celebrated 17 years of growing in love. And, well, we’ve come a long way, with further to go.
Here’s to finding oneness with the tide!
