It’s tough to do great things by setting out to do them; because before we even get started, we’re inviting our ego to join us.
We have to learn to put our heart into the everyday, seemingly insignificant, to get the experience we need for the conspicuously great. And when we’re coming from ego, that can leave us merely flipping our hair or flashing our money.
But when we do what love presents us with, we are encouraged. Peace and joy lie in doing what we’re ready for, not what we only wish we were ready for. And when we move beyond our preconceived notion of what “great” looks like, we make way for what great actually is. It was never about WHAT we did. It was always about doing it wholeheartedly.
We can sweep a dirt floor with love, or we can rule a castle without love. But we can’t be happy without love.
We forget–again and again–but never forever. And the more we practice, the longer we remember.
Love and hugs,
