And I’m not thinking about the busyness. I’m thinking about the love. There is no taking the Christ out of Christmas–regardless of religion. And I think we can all agree that Christ demonstrated love at its finest.
I think of his words, “Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone,” and “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” That’s the kind of love we need in today’s world. It’s the only kind of love; but sometimes we forget, and pass off something less. We’re only human; and I want to believe we’re doing the best we can.
But Christmas is a shining example of what happens when we all get on the same team. Somehow, we’re a little more understanding, forgiving, empathetic … loving. So, here’s to Christmas! Here’s to you, to us … believing, acting, and loving as one.
Merry Christmas, with all of my heart, to you and yours. May it be truly Christmas all year in our hearts … and, thus, in our lives. And if I may be so bold, I love you.
