With my move last March, I’m still finding my way in a new community, to a feel-good grocery store, jogging path, hair stylist, etc. During this process, one stylist painted my roots a few shades too dark for the rest of my hair. Smile. The owner of the salon tried to correct it. But when the results fell short, and she didn’t want to tackle my haircut, I found my way to another salon, another correction, and a better way of painting my hair.
One of my favorite questions to ask when things go “wrong” is, “How will this turn out better than it would have, had things gone “right”? But I’m telling you this because I forgot to ask that question when my hair went wrong … maybe because I failed to see hope of an answer. So, here I am, reminded that there is ALWAYS an answer to that question. We don’t have to figure out how it’s possible. It IS possible. My hair is insignificant. I know this. But my responsibility to trust love is significant. And manifesting the best version of myself is a byproduct of that.
We don’t get a free pass just because we move, or get old, or temporarily lose our way.… More
