Dear Friends …
I sat on the bank of the Silver River, a favorite place to breathe in nature. But as much as I value that, I wanted to immerse myself in the water.
Sam wasn’t there to watch for alligators … or save me. And I didn’t want to just move from the murky bank and tread water, I wanted to climb the tree. I wanted to play and then bask in the peace.
My 62nd birthday reminded me to be careful about falling, breaking bones, and mending. Ah, but it also reminded me not to let fear hold me back. So, I asked myself, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid.” And … I moved out of my comfort zone into the water.
So grateful that I did. If I am to reach peace with myself, I must overcome my fear. And I can’t hope to reach peace with others, until I have reached it with myself.

Freedom … from anything that stifles you
You’ll decide for yourself what the best of summer is. For me it’s freedom. Summer is an excuse to ditch the clothes, the formality, and the schedule.
What do you want to be free of in your life? Your relationship?
Maybe the kids keep a lid on your sexuality, maybe HIS routine curbs your creativity, or maybe finances have reined in your generosity. Don’t let anything confine you. Freedom is essential to your joy; because it’s essential to being you!
I won’t tell you to throw the kids out, but change your perception of them–and give them an accurate perception of fun, loving, free you. You don’t have to disregard his routine, but neither do you have to make it yours. If you lose yourself, you’ll both be bored with you. And money has always been relative. When you are grateful for what you have, it becomes enough to share. You don’t need enough to impress people, or feed your ego, or conform.
You don’t have to join a health club to be fit or go to the doctor to be healthy. You don’t have to show up in a new car or even own a car to keep up with anybody else.… More
Never stop believing …
There was a time in your life–if only for a moment–when you believed that anything could happen. Maybe since then, your dreams have changed. Maybe you’ve even lost sight of them altogether, but the dream isn’t dead. Because you’re not! Dream a new dream if you like; but make it the best one you have ever dreamed.
Some might say to be content with what is, to be detached from the outcome, and just trust what comes. I agree! But don’t let that stop you from dreaming. Dream with the understanding that your reality will outshine your wildest dreams! And then let that reality begin in this moment.
Let it begin with a thought, that inspires a feeling, that shifts to an attitude of faith, that provokes action, that gets real results. TFAR: Thought, Feeling, Action, Result.
Remember the miracle you are! And live life in such a way that you can’t forget. … More
