Trust …
Life without that belief seems empty to me. You could argue (and I have) that I believe because I want to, because I can’t bear the thought of an empty or accidental existence. But I have evidence. It is both everywhere and nowhere, tangible and intangible. Einstein said, “There are two ways to live your life — one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle.”
This morning as I jogged, I got caught in the rain … and loved it! I raised my arms in surrender to the heavens; and rather than feeling like a prisoner, I felt like a freed bird!
The forces of nature are the forces of creation. Dare to run with them. Dance with them. Sing with them. Cry with them. Be still with them. And they will make a believer of you!

Dear Friends … we have a ticket for everything good!
NOW is perfect! And the only way to mess it up is to lament the past or worry about the future.
As long as I maintain my presence of mind–here and now–my eyes are open. I am aware of being immersed in miracles. I need no further evidence that everything is flowing, and that I am part of it. I feel the abundance. And I am grateful.
But that doesn’t mean I blindly follow. That means I know the journey reflects who I am, what I am ready for, and what serves my highest good. I can stand on what I know. And I can watch it unfold.
I don’t need to know where we are going or when we will arrive, to know I am where I am intended to be NOW. There is glorious freedom in that knowing. And I am so grateful.
I am blessed, thoroughly blessed in this life! But what I am MOST grateful for is the deep knowing that God made me good. THAT is my ticket to everything good. That is my ticket to heaven on earth … and whatever awaits me beyond this humanness. My only quest is to live life as ME.… More
Intimacy flows deep AND wide …
From a reader: “You said what makes two people compatible is how deeply and broadly they connect. Intuitively, it sounds right to me, but what exactly does it mean? How does it play out in a relationship?”
To connect deeply we have to get naked, not just physically (that’s the easy part), but mentally and emotionally. We can’t skate on the surface chatting about the weather and expect to attract a soul mate.
We have to risk talking about religion and politics, spirituality and values, dreams we still dream, lessons we can’t seem to learn, and fears we still run from. We have to share from a deep place inside of us if we want to connect deeply. As simple as that sounds, it can be difficult just to face some of what’s in there, let alone pull it out and share it with somebody we’re trying to impress.
The irony is that once you’ve looked at what’s in there, you start to realize how amazing you are! That doesn’t mean everybody will connect with you. But whether they connect or not, if you’re trying to determine compatibility, rather than prove it, your mission is accomplished! And there need not be any hurt feelings.… More
